wireless@SCU for Windows XP

The following step by step process will connect your Windows XP computer to wireless@SCU. This configuration only needs to be done once - your settings will be saved and you will just need to connect to the wireless@SCU access point in the future. Note: Service Pack 3 is required for wireless@SCU.

Step 1: Click on this link to download the installation program:

If prompted, choose Run or alternatively, find the downloaded file and double-click it.

Step 2: The following message will be displayed. Press any key when prompted.

Step 3: Click on the wireless icon in the System Tray (highlighted with a red circle below) and then select wireless@SCU. Click Connect.

Step 4: Click on the message that appears at the bottom of the screen.

Step 5: Enter your SCU Computer Login* username and password. Leave the Logon domain field blank. Click OK

Step 6: Click on the message that appears at the bottom of the screen.

Step 7: Click OK on the Validate Server Certificate message that appears.

Congratulations! You are now connected to wireless@SCU. In the future, wireless@SCU will be among your preferred networks and your computer can connect directly to it, without this guide.

Note for SCU Staff Only: You may have to disable wireless while plugged into the on-campus wired network. This can usually be done via a button/switch on your laptop.
